Tom Brady is the GOAT. Period.

Tom Brady is currently 43 years old. 43. This year, he won another Super Bowl at that age. His playoff run this year was also very difficult. He had to win against a very solid Washington defense, he had to beat Drew Brees in a rematch that he’d lost the two previous times, and he had to beat Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. And then, he had to face off against the defending champs, the Kansas City Chiefs and their quarterback, Patrick Mahomes II.

Some people are already saying that Mahomes is a better quarterback than Tom Brady. Clearly, he’s not better. And by the way, in case I forgot to mention, Brady is 43 years old. That’s crazy! Some say Brady was good only because Patriots Coach Bill Belichick made him good. And until this season, many people started to agree. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on where you stand), they were very wrong. Brady won six Super Bowls under Belichick, and then after losing in the wildcard to the Titans, people gave up on him. Let’s just say Brady wanted to prove he was more than just about Belichick.

Tom then pulled an out-of-nowhere play and went to Tampa Bay, where everything, including the weather, is the complete opposite of New England. He took Tampa Bay, which hadn’t made the playoffs in forever, and turned it completely around. And to add to that, Brady won the Super Bowl his first year on Tampa Bay. In all the years of the NFL, how many quarterbacks can say they did anything close?

I personally am not a Tom Brady fan. I would always argue against calling him the GOAT (greatest of all time), but he won this year, again, at age 43. And to the people who say he cheated and got too many flags, just admit that even if they hadn’t been called, the Chiefs were so far behind they would have lost regardless. Because that defense is fantastic. And because of Brady.
